We are now proud sponsors and partners of The Welsh Corgi Club of NSW
The Hypro Premium team is excited to announce that the brand is now sponsoring The Welsh Corgi Club of NSW.
Hypro Premium offers a finely crafted, wonderfully balanced gourmet range of Super Premium dog food to help maintain the health and well being of all active dog breeds, ages and sizes. It’s because our products are great that we’ve been trusted by The Welsh Corgi Club of NSW. Let us tell you a bit more about the Corgis.
Funnily enough, Corgis were bred as livestock herding dogs in Wales many centuries ago. Their talent as working dogs was for driving livestock forward and preventing them from turning astray.
Two separate breeds are recognized: the Pembroke Welsh Corgi and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi. The Pembroke is associated with Flemish weavers in around the 10th century, while the Cardigan is believed to have been introduced by Norse settlers.
The first Corgis appeared at dog shows in the 1920s. They received a huge boost to their popularity as regular household pets when they were adopted by Queen Elizabeth II, who started keeping Corgis when she was 18 years old and only stopped in 2018, when Willow, the last of her Corgis died.
The breed is known for being spirited and athletic, while also displaying the characteristics of remaining steady and dependable in even the most testing conditions. Corgis are one of those breeds that truly live up to the idea of being “big dogs on short legs”.
As well as herding, the Corgi displays obedience and agility, especially when it is chasing balls – which these dogs do with surprising speed – and enjoying other outlets for their enthusiasm and desire to work.
Corgis are great ambassadors for what Hypro Premium does because they are living endorsements of the importance of eating the correct levels of nutrients for health and longevity.
Alongside physical activity and mental health, nutrition is a crucial factor when it comes to determining the wellbeing of dogs like Corgis.
Proteins, both plant-based and animal, play important parts in the function and development of their muscles, enabling dogs to grow stronger and increase their endurance. This type of protein promotes physical activity, which in turn fosters a healthy metabolism.
Hypro Premium products contain essential oils including both Omega 3 and Omega 6, which have a key role to play in maintaining healthy skin and joints. This aids resilience when dogs like Corgis go out in different weathers including humid climates. It also has the function of helping dogs tackle allergies and preventing itchiness.
With nutrition being so important to the wellbeing of dogs like Corgis, Hypro Premium has reduced the amount of fillers and instead sought out dense, nutritionally packed food, often derived from real ingredients.
This is what lies behind Hypro Premium feed: nutritional balance, including essential oils, fats, minerals, grain free and 100% real meat.
Hypro Premium is extremely excited to be participating as sponsors and partners at the 18th National Show to be hosted by the Welsh Corgi Club of NSW. It is due to be held in Clarendon on Friday the 12th and Saturday 13th of April.
On Friday both Cardigan and Pembroke Welsh Corgi Dogs will be judged, with their equivalent bitches being judged on Saturday.
