Your Cat’s Nutritional Needs: The Three Basics
As we launch our Ocean Fish Cat food, we’ve wanted to brush you up on the 3 essential aspects of feline nutrition. You can also watch out for our promotions to try this new product for your favourite feline this month, available for order from our website.
Protein. Dietary protein supplies essential amino acids and is needed for the manufacture of antibodies, enzymes, hormones, and tissues and for proper pH balance. It provides energy for cats and is essential for growth and development.
How much each cat may need can vary slightly due to a variety of factors, including physiological state, age, activity, and the digestibility of the protein being fed. Overall however cats have a very high requirement for protein so this should be your go-to decide on a diet for your energetic cat.
Our Ocean Fish Cat food contains 35% of Crude Protein.
Fat. This concentrated source of energy provides essential fatty acids and aids in nutrient consumption and transportation in your cat’s body.
Fats (and oils) are composed of fatty acids, sometimes referred to as “VITAMIN F.” Omega-3 acids are the fatty acids most involved in feline health. Cats need 20 to 24 percent fat in their food. It’s important that both protein and fat be relatively high to ensure a quality diet. Cats will be attracted by food with a high concentration in these areas. Fatty acids also help in increasing brain function and lessening inflammation (anti-inflammatory).
Hypro Premium with Ocean Fish Grain Free provides a nourishing diet that is rich in Omega-3 (including DHAs & EPAs), 6 & 9 and is enhanced with real, natural ingredients for optimal wellbeing and health.
Our Ocean Fish Cat food contains 14% of Crude Fat.
Vitamins. These nutrients are essential for metabolism regulation and normal growth and function. Usually found in food, some are synthesized within the animal’s body. They’re classified as either fat or water-soluble. In our Ocean Fish cat food, you will find Vitamins A, C, D3, E, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B6, B9, B12 and choline alongside many other quality nutrients to ensure top health for your feline.
